RED LODGE — Red Lodge Mountain will have a total of six lifts open on its first official day of ski season Friday, Nov. 29, including popular back-side lift Cole Creek and all of its terrain except Headwaters, according to a Facebook post.
Red Lodge just wrapped up a bonus weekend, opening the mountain early for two days Nov. 23 and 24. Unfortunately, lifts had to close early on Nov. 24 due to wind gusts being seen as high as 60 miles per hour.
This is the earliest in recent memory that Red Lodge has been able to open up the Cole Creek lift that services part of what is called the back side of Red Lodge Mountain.
Other lifts that will be open Friday include: Grizzly Peak, Triple Chair, Willow Creek, Miami Beach and Magic Carpet.
Lifts start turning at 9 a.m. Friday.
