BILLINGS — Registration is now open for the next STEM Yellowstone experience.

The programs are available each quarter of the year, and the next one is 1 to 4 p.m., Jan. 18 at the Billings Career Center.

The cost is $10, but financial aid is available by calling Dan Carter at 545-1242.

STEM Yellowstone morphed from STEM Billings, which started four years ago.

It is designed to provide hands-on and career relevant experiences that kids cannot get in schools.

Business, industry, nonprofit and education STEM fans have collaborated to provide the activities for our next event, “Adventures in Health & Medicine.”

Some of the activities planned include a bio-engineering challenge, learning about cells and capillaries, following your food, animal ear anatomy and others.

Registration is open now and some activities have caps on them. If you or your family or your neighbors want to take part, check it out and get signed up. If you want to volunteer to help, there is a link on the STEM Yellowstone website.
