Authorities have identified a 50-year-old man who died in a one-vehicle crash in Carbon County earlier this week.
Thane Appell of Bridger was killed after he drove his 1991 Dodge Ram pickup into an irrigation canal on South River Road south of Bridger, Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan said Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. Monday but was discovered the next day about 9 a.m.
Appell died of injuries sustained in the crash, according to McQuillan. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.
