Former First Interstate Bank CEO Tom Scott, a longtime philanthropist in Montana and Wyoming, died Saturday at his ranch in Dayton, Wyoming. He was 76.
Scott was CEO of First Interstate Bank for 25 years and worked closely with the bank for 47 years. He continued the traditions of his father, Homer Scott, by supporting the bank's charitable foundation and giving to countless community organizations.
Scott served on the Federal Reserve Board and is a member of the Montana Business Hall of Fame. He was generous with support to organizations and individuals in the Billings and Sheridan areas.
Scott is survived by his wife, Joan, and two children.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for July 18 at the Padlock Ranch in Dayton, Wyoming.
