BILLINGS — Winter arrived in full force across the state of Montana over the week, with western and central parts of the state receiving their fair share of snow.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for south central Montana on Saturday that remains in effect until noon on Sunday.
Billings streets were snow-packed for much of Saturday as snow plows tried to keep up with the snow falling over the course of the day.
Billings families flocked to Pioneer Park to take advantage of the day off from school and tied up their snow boots for some sledding.
Area ski resorts Red Lodge Mountain and Showdown Montana also got a fresh layer of snow to add to the base for the year.
