UPDATE: According to the Montana DOT Road Report website, Interstate 90 is open again.
Drivers are urged to proceed with caution.
Both directions of Interstate 90 are closed between the Pryor Creek Interchange and the West Hardin Interchange as per the Montana Department of Transportation.
The detour route is to use I94 between Billings and Custer, and MT Highway 47 between Custer and Hardin.
Traffic control signs are now in place. Both eastbound lanes near Pryor Creek are closed due to crashes and heavy fog.
Eastbound traffic on I90 must exit at Pryor Creek and return to Billings.
Westbound traffic at mile marker 470 is still blocked by crashes.
Multiple crashes have closed both westbound lanes of Interstate 90 according to the Montana Department of Transportation.
The accidents occurred near mile marker 470, which is 20 miles east of Billings.
Drivers can expect delays and are urged to drive carefully.
