BILLINGS — Families had a chance to play some games and learn some history at the Western Heritage Center on Saturday.
Playapalooza was held Saturday at the museum.
People were invited to play some old fashioned games such as pick up sticks and tiddleywinks.
Children's author Precious McKenzie was among those reading stories.
Santa Claus made an appearance for pictures.
The event is a chance for children to see the Western Heritage Center as a place to learn history.
"There's enough activities here for the the kids to come in to have fun," said Kevin Kooistra, executive director of the center. "But this event in particular is for the younger people to have a great experience. It's just a way to look at how people have celebrated Christmas in the past and bringing their families together. Have a memory that's associated with this place and hopefully that memory is a positive one and they want to come back, time and time again.
Kooistra said the plan is to make the Holiday Playapalooza an annual event.
