The fire was located near the intersection of the East Boulder Road and the Main Boulder road. Fire fighters responded as well as the Sweetgrass County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office notified individuals in the area. Special thanks goes out to the assisting fire agencies: Columbus Rural fire, Park County Rural fire, DNRC, BLM and the US Forest Service. Fire Crews worked through the night and are still on scene. No evacuations were necessary.
Officials would like to remind people to not drive in the area unless absolutely necessary. Fire equipment and other heavy machinery will still be operating on the roadways and could pose a traffic hazard.
Once again we extend our deepest appreciation to the volunteers and residents in the area for their assistance and cooperation.
