BIG SKY – A fire sparked on the deck of a residence in Big Sky on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a quick response from the Big Sky Fire Department.
According to Big Sky Fire Chief William Farhat, the fire was contained to the deck of a condominium above a commercial structure where multiple businesses are located, including Beehive Basin Brewery.
Chief Farhat said firefighters were able to get on the roof of the property and quickly extinguish the deck fire.
Employees of Beehive Basin Brewery helped evacuate pet dogs from the residence.
No one was injured in the blaze, and all damage was contained to the deck of the condominium. According to Chief Farhat, the cause of the fire is unknown but appears to be accidental in nature.
All businesses located in the structure were open and back to normal operations by late Tuesday afternoon.
