BROWNING- After a year and a half of pain and agony of not knowing where Ashley Loring Heavyrunner is, her family is facing a new challenge.

Web surfers on the Blackfeet Reservation have recently discovered a Facebook profile that is using Heavyrunner’s picture.

Many people have reported it as fake or spam but Facebook still has not taken it down.

Relative Kimberly Loring wrote a statement about the fake profile.

“I want to thank everyone that reported that fake profile that was using Ashleys pictures. Sadly it’s still up but if we keep reporting it May be it will be taken down. Unfortunately this is a sad reality what families have to go through when posting their missing loved ones on social media. People use their pictures or they pose as scammers wanting money. Families go through a lot to let everyone know their loved ones are MISSING. With that in mind please keep sharing Ashley’s story let people know Ashley is still missing and we will never give up looking for her. We need to show everyone that Ashley is IMPORTANT and she needs to be found. She will not be forgotten.”

Next month will mark Heavyrunner’s 22nd birthday and a year a half since she went missing from the Blackfeet Reservation.

If you have any information about Heavyrunner’s whereabouts or what may have happened to her, call the Bureau of Indian Affiars at 406-338-4000 or your local law enforcement agency.
