BOZEMAN – The Gallatin Valley will soon see another medical center in Bozeman.

Officials from Billings Clinic announced plans Tuesday for the first phase of a 97,000-square-foot medical center what will include a multispecialty physician group practice, urgent care, and an outpatient surgical center.

The center will be part of the Billings Clinic’s 54-acre Bozeman campus, located on the west side of Bozeman, adjacent to I-90 near the 19th Street exit.

Billings Clinic expects to break ground in 2019 and open within the next three years. The property was acquired in 2016.

According to a press release, the center will also house outreach services from Billings Clinic’s more than 80 specialties and have access to Mayo Clinic specialists through Billings Clinic’s Mayo Clinic Care Network affiliation and other partnerships.

“Billings Clinic has had a presence in the Bozeman health care community for a long time and we look forward to growing our relationship with the community,” said Randy Gibb, Billings Clinic CEO. “This is an opportunity to provide new services and additional access to health care in one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation.”

At a press conference Tuesday, a spokesperson said Billings Clinic Bozeman Ob/Gyn and Billings Clinic Bozeman Acorn Pediatrics have been serving patients in the Bozeman community for nearly 15 years. Those clinics will be relocated to a portion of the new facility.

“We want to continue to invest in this community,” Gibb said. “We will continue to assess the needs of the community and seek local input on how the community wants this to look.”

Billings Clinic is interviewing architects and beginning the selection process for a general contractor for the project.
