GREAT FALLS – A pedestrian died Tuesday morning after being struck by a car along 8th Street Northeast.
According to the Great Falls Police Department, the accident was called in around 7:15 a.m. The road at 8th Street Northeast was closed between Smelter Avenue and 25th Avenue Northeast for a few hours.
The woman was transported to Benefis Health System, but she did not survive.
The Montana Highway Patrol is assisting Great Falls police with the investigation. Once the investigation is complete, it will likely be sent to the County Attorney’s Office.
The name of the victim has not been released.
