A former Montana prosecutor in Hill County has been arrested and charged in Texas with shooting her husband.
According to the AbileneReporter News, Jessica Cole-Hodgkinson, 47, has been charged with first-degree aggravated assault and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
The shooting happened Sunday morning. The newspaper reports the victim arrived home Sunday at about 6 a.m. and found that his wife had locked him out of the residence.
The man eventually was able to enter the residence and found Cole-Hodgkinson in a bathroom with a handgun.
The woman fired the gun several times, hitting her husband in the abdomen and shoulder, the newspaper reports. His condition has not been made available.
