The U.S. Army has posted a video tribute Staff Sgt. Travis Atkins of Bozeman, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor on Tuesday.

The video features interviews with his son, Gordon Oliver, who will accept the award later this month, and his parents, Jack and Elaine Atkins.

Atkins was killed June 1, 2007, after he wrestled a suicide bomber to the ground and shielded other soldiers from the blast.

He was initially awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the Army’s second-highest valor award. His award was upgraded to the Medal of Honor after a 2016 Pentagon review, according to the U.S. Army.
