The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was found dead in the Missouri River near Craig on Monday.

Officials identified the man as 58-year-old John S. MacArthur.

MacArthur had a Minnesota driver’s license, but also had an address listed in Cascade.

MacArthur’s body was found Monday in a completely submerged white 2019 Tacoma along with a deceased dog.

Sheriff Leo Dutton said MacArthur’s relatives have been notified and the cause and manner of his death are still pending the autopsy report.
