Plane crashes in Lewis and Clark County; pilot and passenger not injured

LINCOLN –  Emergency responders said a pilot and its passenger are lucky after a plane crashed in Lincoln.

Lincoln Volunteer Ambulance and Lincoln Volunteer Fire Rescue were dispatched to the Lincoln airport for a plane crash at 11:45 Sunday morning.

Photos depict the plane lying upside down.

Both the pilot and the passenger were up and walking around when emergency crews arrived. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The two did not need medical attention.

The plane is a total loss.

The pilot and passenger were from Nevada.

It is unknown at this time what caused the plane to crash.
