FRENCHTOWN — MISSOULA - The Montana Highway Patrol reports three people were killed in a Tuesday morning crash on Interstate 90 near Frenchtown.
The patrol said an SUV traveling east on I-90 lost control and slid off the highway at approximately 3 a.m.
After the crash, two vehicles stopped to offer assistance. While outside of the vehicles rendering aid, two males were struck and killed by a tractor-trailer that lost control, the patrol reports.
In addition to hitting the two men, the tractor-trailer struck the parked vehicles, killing one juvenile who was inside and causing severe injuries to another.
The patrol said emergency personnel remained at the scene through the morning and the investigation is ongoing.
