Body found in Missouri River in central Montana

The Cascade County Sheriff's Office says that a body was recovered from the Missouri River on Sunday.

At about 9:40 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Rainbow Dam for a report of a body in the river. Deputies arrived at the scene and determined that it was the body of a male.

The body has not been positively identified at this time, and will be taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and identity of the male.

No other information has been released at this point.
