Bozeman resident Cora Neumann announced her run for U.S. Senate Tuesday morning.
Neumann is running as a Democrat, and she’ll be joining Wilmot Collins, John Mues, and Michael Chantry Knoles in the race against incumbent Republican Sen. Steve Daines.
Neumann calls herself a public health leader who will fight to lower the costs of healthcare and prescription drugs.
She is also a supporter of public land protections.
She says her experience spearheading the Global First Ladies Alliance and work at the U.S. State Department has prepared her to represent Montanans in Congress
“I bring to this race 20 years of experience in federal and international policy,” Neumann said. “I have a strong record of work, as I said, across party lines to get things done. I’ve always brought my Montana values with me where I go in my work, in DC and around the world.”
Neumann says she will not take corporate political action committee money for her campaign.
