BOZEMAN - A Bozeman woman who was killed by an allegedly drunken driver has been identified.
Alexa Dzintars was killed late Saturday while riding a bicycle when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver, 27-year-old Chad Alexander Basaites, has been charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence.
According to her Facebook page, Dzintars was studying studio art at Montana State University and worked at a Bozeman restaurant.
Friends told MTN News they remember Dzintars as kind, a bright mind, an artist, and always smiling. A post from co-workers at the restaurant said she was “adored.”
