Chief Mountain closed early for season

Port of Entry will reopen May 15

CHIEF MOUNTAIN — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations was notified by the National Park Service (NPS) that due to blizzard conditions and heavy snow accumulations forecasted they have closed Highway 17, which is the road to the port of Chief Mountain, at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 27.

Chief Mountain Port of Entry (POE) also closed for the season at 4 p.m. on Friday.

The Chief Mountain POE will re-open on May 15, 2020.
