POLSON — Authorities have released the name of the woman whose body was found along the shore of Flathead Lake in Polson.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says that the body of Sherelle Leigh Martin, 34, was found on the lakeshore at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sheriff Bell reports an initial investigation shows that it appears Martin -- who is originally from Jamul, California -- passed away from hypothermia.

Marton’s body was taken to the State Crime Lab so that an autopsy can be performed.

“The Lake County Sheriff and the Coroner Office express our condolences to the family for their loss,” Sheriff Bell said in a statement.
