A pedestrian died early Sunday morning after being hit by a vehicle in Lake County.
The Montana Highway Patrol responded to the incident on southbound US Highway 93 at mile marker 51 just before 4:30 a.m.
A male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital where he was later confirmed deceased. The man's name has not yet been released.
The driver was also taken to the hospital. Information about the driver's medical condition has not been released.
The patrol continues investigating to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors.
