HELENA — State health officials say the flu is now widespread across the state with 109 new confirmed cases of the virus during the week ending December 14th.
Ninteen people have been hospitalized, according to the Department of Public Health and Human Services, but no flu-related deaths have been reported in Montana this season.
Gallatin County had the greatest number of new cases with 28 followed by Yellowstone County with 19 cases.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say the flu is widespread in 30 states.
