SHELBY — Toole County authorities are searching for two Missoula County men who went missing while on a fishing trip.
The Toole County Sheriff's Office reports that around 8 p.m. on Monday law enforcement received a call of two overdue fishermen who were camping on the north side of the Marias River in Toole County.
An investigation shows the men had left camp earlier in the day to visit another camp on the south side of the river. When the men did not return, a third person in their party followed their tracks to an area of open water.
Toole County deputies -- with assistance from several area agencies -- are conducting a search operation.
