NEIHART — Showdown Montana opened for the season on Friday, December 13th.

Conditions on Friday afternoon were 40 inches of snow at the summit, and 22 inches at the base. There was 14'' of new snow on Friday, and 100 percent of the mountain is open.

Two upcoming highlights include "Ski with Santa" on December 21st, and the annual Torchlight Parade and Fireworks Show on New Year's Eve.

Here is the schedule for the season: Open Dec. 13-15, then starting Dec. 20 open every day except for Christmas Day until January 5 for the holiday break. Then open during regular season days, Wednesday - Sunday starting Jan. 8. Closing Day: April 5, 2020.
