KILA — The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday afternoon.
The patrol reports a 70-year-old man was driving west on U.S. Highway 2 near Kila west of Kalispell when his vehicle struck the teen.
The incident happened at 4:30 p.m. near mile marker 114.
The boy died at the scene. The driver was not injured.
According to the patrol, speed is suspected to be a factor in the incident.
