Construction is expected to resume at the Broadus Interchange early next week with demolition of the westbound bridge structure spanning S. Hanes Ave, according to a press release from the Montana Department of Transportation.

The bridgework is part of a multi-year effort to improve traffic operations and safety at the Broadus Interchange.

Oftedal Construction will close westbound lanes on I-94 near the Broadus exit in Miles City beginning Mon. Jan 13.

Westbound traffic on I-94 will be diverted to the eastbound bridge in preparation for bridge demolition activity.

The I-94 eastbound bridge will accommodate single-lane, two-way traffic and all exits will remain open.

Motorists on S. Haynes Ave should expect single-lane, one-way traffic controlled by portable signal during bridge demolition activities.

Travelers on I-94 are asked to prepare for reduced speeds and single lane traffic. Planning extra travel time is recommended.

A 16-ft width restriction will remain in place until Fall of 2020.
