The National Association of College and University Food Services recently awarded Montana State University’s newest dining hall with the grand prize as the top collegiate dining facility.
The Rendezvous Dining Pavilion went up against major schools in the competition such as Harvard and Duke University.
Richard Huffman, director of culinary services at MSU, said this award is much more than a dining services award.
“I think it really speaks to Montana State University as a whole. It’s becoming a world-class university with research, with dining halls, with engineering buildings, with business and entrepreneurship building across the street. It is a world class university and we’re happy to be holding our own in that regard,” Huffman said.
The 30,000 square foot facility opened last year and has eight different serving stations.
