A man is dead and a woman injured after a wreck near Hungry Horse early Sunday morning.
Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at South Fork Drive and US-2 around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
The driver, a 33-year-old male from Galloway, New Jersey attempted to negotiate a left hand curve, applied his brakes just before reaching a cliff, and ultimately rolled down the right hand side of the road.
After rolling multiple times, the car landed on its roof. Neither the driver nor his passenger were wearing seatbelts. MHP also reports that alcohol and speed were suspected factors in the crash.
The passenger, a 29-year-old female also from Galloway, New Jersey was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and the driver was pronounced dead on scene.
