The Texas Department of Public Safety presented a 12-minute video of aviation operations at on Friday.
One of the videos included in the presentation was related to the Austin bomber case and another included rescue operations during Hurricane Harvey.
A different portion of the video, however, is grabbing attention because it involves a woman with a baby in the back seat of a vehicle during a high-speed chase with police.
A trooper conducted a traffic stop on a Mercedes SUV on June 15. The female driver, who had outstanding warrants, sped off and led police on a high-speed chase, traveling up to at least 100 mph on a busy highway.
The driver’s front tire was disabled by a tire deflation device by a trooper.
The driver eventually crashes into a white pickup truck, grabbed the baby out of the back seat and fled the scene.
While attempted to carjack another vehicle, a trooper arrived at the scene. The woman was arrested and charged with child endangerment, evading arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.
