Bow hunter Amy Henderson Hall witnessed a rare sight in Williamson County, Tennessee when an albino white-tail deer walked under her tree stand on Nov. 17.

Henderson Hall managed to capture video and photos of the close encounter with the stunning albino buck, showing the animal walking undisturbed among the trees.

“It was amazing,” the bow hunter told Reuters in an email. “Ghostly. It brought tears to my eyes. I watched it as it stayed around for 30 minutes grazing and walking around.”

According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, albino deer are rare and it’s illegal to harvest them in Tennessee.

The bow hunter said she doesn’t consider it fair to hunt them, as they aren’t able to camouflage, hear and barely see.

“It is also considered a spirit in the Native American culture. It is for the respect that I have for this creature and the law that I shot the video,” Henderson Hall added.
