GLENDALE, Ariz. – A new surveillance video from a woman in Glendale shows an unexplained explosion early Saturday morning.

The footage, taken on a backyard surveillance camera and provided by Rita Castaneda, was recorded at 4:39 a.m., showing a flash followed by a boom. The house is located near the intersection of 45th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

The incident comes as more than 100 callers have reported explosions to dispatcher throughout the West Valley.

Phoenix PD has taken the lead on the investigation into the incidents, working alongside Glendale PD as well as state and federal agencies.

Police still don’t have a suspect, but they have a vehicle of interest. It’s been identified as an older GMC or Chevy pickup truck.

Some neighbors near Saturday’s explosion say they’ve been hearing booms at least twice a week since October.

“Somebody’s definitely gonna get hurt eventually on one of these,” said Glendale resident Gina Bratt. “Somebody’s gonna be in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
