Florida Highway Patrol released this video to remind drivers to move over when they see first responders at work.
While a Florida trooper was assisting a disabled motorist on the side of a highway in North Fort Myers last November, another vehicle slammed into the back of his patrol car.
Police say the driver was attempting to avoid slowing traffic and swerved onto the shoulder.
Trooper Richard Verbiest jumped into action and rescued the driver from the burning car.
