Video Extra: Zeppelin Skiing

and last updated

Three freeriders’ desire to experience fresh snow went to extreme lengths recently when they abseiled 164 feet down from a Zeppelin onto a mountain top in the Austrian Alps.

Last month, Austrian freeriders Stefan Ager, Andreas Gumpenberger and Fabian Lentsch stepped out of the Zeppelin above the top of the 7,326-foot high Kleiner Valkastiel mountain and abseiled down onto the untouched snow.

Once on the mountain top, they took it in turns to either ski or snowboard down the mountain into the Brandnertal Valley.

It took the crew two years of intensive preparation to make the project a success.
