BILLINGS — Another round of showers before warmer and drier weather.
Like Thursday, expect a mix of clouds and sun with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Friday. Rain is a bit more likely for areas east of Billings with some thunderstorms producing gusty winds and very small hail.
Highs will reach the mid-50s to mid-60s Friday with lows by Saturday morning slip to the 30s. Highs will reach the upper 60s to low 70s consistently Sunday through Tuesday. That is about 10 degrees warmer than late April averages.
The current pattern suggests highs hit the mid-70s to around 80 by midweek.
Billings forecast:
Friday... A mix of clouds and sun. Possible shower or weak thunderstorm in the afternoon. High near 60. west wind 10 to 20 mph.
Friday night... A slight risk of showers or a thunderstorm int he evening, but mostly clear overnight. Low about 37.
Saturday... Sunny and around 69 for a high.
