The U.S. Forest Service is adding eight new permanent firefighter and forestry technician positions to the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest.

Individuals can apply for the job until May 6, 2020 at www.usajobs.gov

Pay grades range from GS5 through GS8 , and the duty stations are located in Helena, Townsend, Lincoln, Stanford, White Sulphur Springs, Neihart and Harlowton.

Working as a wildland firefighter for the Forest Service is a physically demanding job, but provides an invaluable service.

It is through their work that wildfires are contained, homes protected and forests are effectively managed.

The U.S. Forest Service is consistently adding new jobs to the Northern Region, and will be adding 60-80 new positions this year for the 2020 fire season.
