About 20 volunteers gathered to place American flags at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery located at Fort Harrison.
According to a representative, they usually have 10 volunteers and take about two hours to flag the cemetery. They appreciate having more volunteers this year.
Families also attended the flagging to honor their veterans.
One of the volunteers, Karen Susag, comes from a family of veterans.
Susag said, "My dad, and my brother, and my son, and then my grandson are all military and it's just a way to honor them and feel proud, proud of what they do. They're really proud of their service, all of them, doing their duty and helping protect us. It's just my little part to help doing that."
