More hot and dry conditions before cold front changes everything.
High temperatures on Thursday and Friday will reach the mid to lower 90s in the lower elevations. Expect plenty of afternoon sun, with increasing wildfire smoke.
With hot temperatures and low humidity in place, gusty winds ahead of a cold front by Friday afternoon and evening increase wildfire risk.
Expect thunderstorm activity to increase from West to East Friday afternoon through early Saturday. Initial storms will be dry with gusty winds. But a better chance for rain will develop Saturday and Sunday all across the area.
