Q2 Weather: Not as chilly, but a chance of showers and thunderstorms

and last updated

Our recent cooler temperatures are quickly on their way out.

After a couple of afternoons with highs only in the 50s to low 60s, temperatures will move back to the 70s and 80s for the rest of the week.  The warmest readings will occur Friday.

Shower and thunderstorms will increase through the day Wednesday.  Storms will start in the mountains and then roll into the lower elevations by Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.

Storms will end from west to east Thursday.  Thursday will be breezy from Billings to the west.

After warming up Friday, a cold front brings another chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday evening.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday…Patchy morning fog followed by a mostly sunny sky.  High near 81.  Isolated afternoon storms.

Wednesday night…Partly cloudy with a low near 58.  A chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday…Morning showers and thunderstorms possible, with mostly sunny and breezy in the afternoon.  Around 84 for the high.
