Some ups and downs are expected in the weather pattern through the weekend.
The chance of rain will go down throughout Thursday, as the upper low that brought cooler temperatures along with showers and thunderstorms the last few days exits to the east.
Temperatures will go up, with highs mainly in the mid-70s to mid-80s Thursday, and mainly in the 80s by Friday afternoon. A few places east of Billings could reach 90 Friday.
Clouds will decrease Thursday afternoon, and it will be a little breezy form around Livingston heading east to about Billings. West winds of 15 to 25 mph could gust at times.
Friday will warm ahead of a cold front. As the front passes by Friday afternoon and evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop and produce some wind.
Saturday will trend about 10 degrees cooler, with highs in the 70s.

Thursday… A chance of morning showers and thunderstorms becomes a mostly sunny afternoon. A high of about 82 with west winds 15 to 25 mph.
Thursday night… Clear. Winds decrease with a low of around 57.
Friday… Sunny and near 86 for a high.
