Q2 Weather: Chance of Saturday evening storms leads into cooler Sunday

Posted

After a sunny and well above seasonal afternoon here on Saturday we could be in for some storms this evening.

The storms are building off the mountains and coming in from the southwest. These storms appear to be fairly high based, which makes the most notable threat gusty winds.

Cloudy conditions will stick around through Sunday morning before clearing out for another sunny and warm afternoon, albeit a few degrees cooler than the upper 80s we have see today, as we will be on the other side of a week cold front.

Sunday high temperatures will be right around the 80 degree mark.

Another frontal passage is currently scheduled to impact our area later in the day on Monday.

Out in front of this system we once again see warm, breezy southwest winds that will warm us up for the hottest day of the week on Monday before temperatures settle in the mid 70s for the rest of the forecast period.

Monday high temperatures should get up into the upper 80s, I’ve got us in for 87.

Right now Thursday night looks like our only chance for rain and even that is a fairly low percentage. Enjoy Sunday and Monday before we settle in for a cool and dry week.
