BILLINGS – The general weather pattern is holding a while longer.

High temperatures will stay in the mid-to-lower 70s Thursday and again Friday across much of the area.  But expect an increase in clouds Thursday to a mostly cloudy to cloudy sky.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop west and north of Billings during Thursday afternoon and evening.  This will hold temperatures to the 60s in many of these locations.

Friday is similar, but with fewer clouds overall.

Saturday, a brief spike in the weekend temperatures could push the afternoon high toward 80 degrees.

Thursday… Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Northerly wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Westerly wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east in the morning.
