BILLINGS – Some changes are in store beginning Wednesday.

Tuesday will be another day of sunshine, a few clouds and temperatures mainly in the mid-to-lower 70s.  As we saw Monday, temperatures will trend warmer through northern Wyoming with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Clouds will increase Tuesday evening with showers and isolated thunderstorms by late in the evening and overnight.  A cold front will move down from the north.

Wednesday will be much cooler across southern Montana with more widespread showers.  Highs will be mainly in the 50s to low 60s.

Northern Wyoming will not feel the cooler air from the front until Thursday.  Most temperatures will be in the 40s in the morning and the 60s to low 70 for the afternoon Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Billings forecast:

Tuesday… Mostly sunny with a high of about 73. Light easterly wind.

Tuesday night… A 20 percent chance of a shower or thunderstorm late in the evening. Otherwise partly to mostly cloudy.  Dropping to around 46 for a low.

Wednesday… Mostly cloudy to cloudy with scattered area rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.  Cooler.  Near 55 for a high. Winds remain light.
