BILLINGS – Great weather ahead for the weekend.

It will be warmer today as a ridge of high pressure replaces the unsettled and wetter weather of the past couple of days.  Highs will be mainly 70 to 75 degrees with a sunny to mostly sunny afternoon after areas of morning frost and fog.

Overnight temperatures are not as cold.  Saturday will start in the 40s in most locations.

Saturday is by far the warmest day we will see for a while.  Highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s in the lower elevations.

The wind will be light Friday, but expect a breezy Saturday, especially from Billings to the west.

Cooler air arrives Sunday, with highs in the 60s.  Late day showers are possible.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Patchy morning fog, otherwise mostly sunny to sunny.  Light south wind.  High of about 73.

Friday night… Mostly clear with a low near 47.

Saturday… Sunny to mostly sunny with a high around 82. West wind 10-20 mph.
