Temperatures jumped across the 80 degree mark here today on what is the last day of summer 2018.

We have had our share of ups and downs this summer, and the weather in the immediate future will look to continue that pattern.

Coming off a warm Saturday things will cool down for the first day of fall on Sunday. High temperatures around the region will be in the 50s and 60s. Billings should be one of the warmer areas with high temperatures right around 65.

A cold front also stirs up some instability tomorrow and brings the chance for scattered showers and storms later in the evening. I’m targeting 6-9 pm Sunday evening for the chance of some precipitation.

Scattered lightning and thunder along with some gusty winds are also not out of the question.

The fall feel will stick with us through out the week as daily highs will generally stick to the lower to mid 60s.

Right now Thursday morning looks like our best chance for a bit more rainfall.
