BILLINGS – Warm and windy turns to cold and icy in the next few days.

For Wednesday, the strongest winds will again blow from the Livingston/Nye/Harlowton areas toward Billings.  Gusts to 60 mph are possible in the mountain foothills to about 40 mph near Billings.

High temperatures Wednesday will be in the upper 40s to around 60.  Billings should make it to the mid-50s with a sunny to mostly sunny afternoon.

Overnight temperatures remain mild for mid-November with readings mainly in the 30s.

For Thursday, winds will back off a bit near the mountains, but will start to spread into eastern Montana.  Miles City could see winds pick up 15 to 25 mph Thursday. Highs 45 to 55 will be common.

A Canadian cold front arrives early Friday.  Temperatures will drop through the day with rain switching to snow.  Hazardous travel with slick roads and poor visibility are a real concern by Friday evening.
