Things cleared up on Saturday for Cat-Griz as well as the many high-school football state championships, however players did have to contend with cold temperatures across the state.

And fans travelling to take in championship Saturday had to contend with poor road conditions, especially those leaving early in the morning. The sunshine we saw across the state meant that roads cleared over the course of the day.

As we put this Saturday behind us we begin Thanksgiving week, and good weather is something we should be able to give thanks for here in late November.

A system will approach the northeast corner of the state which will push some cloud across the eastern half of Montana for Sunday, but the mercury should be rising all across the treasure state.

that cloudiness moves east by Monday and then mostly sunny skies should dominate the forecast for the beginning of the week.

Temperatures will rise to, and settle, around the 50 degree mark for most of the week, including Thanksgiving.

The overall pattern is calm and relatively benign on the weather front. so we will likely be able to cross weather off the list of things to stress out about as we head towards the always hectic Thanksgiving weekend.
