BILLINGS – Snow is on the way for the weekend.

After hitting the upper 40s and low 50s Wednesday, Thursday will trend just a little cooler, with area high temperatures mainly in the 40s. But with sun and a light wind, it is shaping up for a pleasant late November afternoon.

Friday will trend a little cooler, with highs in the mid-30s to mid-40s. Clouds will increase in the afternoon.

Late Friday, or even early Saturday, snow will start to fall and continue through Sunday morning.

Snow totals will fall in the 3 to 8-inch range with some of the heavier bands currently forecast from Billings north toward Roundup and south toward Sheridan, Wyoming.

This line may shift east or west as the system develops.
