Yesterday’s system passed without much action for us here in the Billings area and it moved through so quickly overnight that conditions today will rebound to look much like yesterday.

Afternoon highs today will once again get up into the 30s and 40s.

We should see some decent sunny periods today through the middle afternoon.

At that point, clouds will begin to build in from the west out in front of the next approaching system.

That system will take a very similar path to its predecessor, moving through in the overnight hours in Wednesday morning. However, this system looks slightly more moisture laden and should bring a heavier dose of snow to western regions, especially at higher elevations.

While the potential for precipitation drops off in eastern zones, one thing the whole state will feel as a result of this system’s passing is a very windy afternoon.

The system passes quickly enough to allow for Wednesday afternoon to shape up much like the forecast for yesterday and Today, with some cloudy breaks and above seasonal temperatures.
